Michiyo Miyake, Silent Witness in the Evacuation Zone|Poetry/Zine
Depicts the haunting image of a lifeless cow observed by a surviving counterpart. Inspired by real events following the Fukushima evacuation in 2011, the poem imagines the desolate scene left behind after the people evacuated.
